I have had to phone HMRC/Child Benefit today, because a manager has failed, yet again, to ring me back within 48 hours. I have to wait for over 20 minutes for them to answer my call. I told “E” that a manager had failed to phone me back after I’d phoned on 4th Sept and 9th Sept. I asked “E” to put me through to her manager, as I want to complain about the 12 week timescale, in addition to long-standing ChB & CSA issues.
“E” put me through to manager “S”, “S” restated the 12 week timescale to process my claim for Child Benefit, and said it can take even longer if there’s a dispute!
“S” refused to comment on my Ex’s claim (except to say it could be a civil matter, or be dealt with through solicitors!). “S” apologised that a manager had failed to ring me back after 4th Sept and 9th Sept.
