Today, I rang the DWP/ESA on 0345 6088545, to ask why I’ve received no ESA (Employment & Support Allowance) payment since 16th August 2016, despite Royal Mail’s Track & Trace service showing they’d received my latest Medical Certificate on 25th August 2016.
I waited 19 minutes for my call to be answered. At first, “D” at Bootle Contact Centre said they’ve only received medical evidence (Med Cert) covering me up to 16th Aug 2016. He then put me on hold for a few minutes, then he said they’ve located my latest Med Cert (that the DWP has been sitting on since 25th Aug 2016), & a payment will be released to me today. He put me on hold again for several minutes to arrange this, then “D” confirmed payment’s gone through. (Total time I was on phone: 35 mins).
