Another futile call to the DWP. I waited 11 minutes for my call to be answered by “L” in Lincoln, then she drops the bombshell – There’s no time limit for processing complex cases!
As my claim is “complex” (to the DWP, not to myself), the usual 10 day processing limit doesn’t apply.
“L” suggested I apply for a short-term benefit advance. “L” put in my request, & I should receive a phone call before 6pm today.
I’ve received no ESA/JSA/I.S. since 7th September 2016, so my financial situation isn’t great. “L” also booked me an appointment Erdington Jobcentre, as I said I wanted to hand in my request for a MANDATORY RECONSIDERATION re: my ESA (6th) claim. “L” was unable to confirm to me whether the email address I’ve previously used to send correspondence to the DWP is still active:
“L” assumes it is still active, otherwise the email I said I sent would have got bounced back to me. [Total 41 minutes on phone]
