Wednesday 15th March 2017 – I Receive Benefit Decision Notice From Birmingham City Council, re: Rent, HB & CTB

The Decision Notice is dated the 8th March 2017, yet it was only delivered this afternoon!

It informs me that I’ve been overpaid £31.74 in HB,, and that I’ll now be liable to pay £15.87 each week from 8th March too (non-dependent charge), as my HB will only be £86,56pw!

There’s no mention of them refunding me the £204.86 (2 x weeks’ rent) paid with my credit card on 17th Jan 2017, that I’d asked to be refunded to me when they’d processed my changes of circumstances.

The DWP’s incompetence and their sheer inertia when it comes processing my claims, or providing me with help/advice, causes my significant HB & Rent woes.
